Toy Shelf

We've kept M's toys in a box for a long time. One morning while MK was playing I decided some organization was necessary. So I looked at the space along M's wall, measured a few things, and drew up a quick sketch of a shelf.

Off to Lowe's we went. I picked the board I needed, took it to someone and had it cut in the dimensions I needed and went home. While M was napping I went to work and drilled and sanded this little gem together. It's nothing fancy but it fulfills it's purpose. It has been great. We sing the clean up song together every night as he puts away his toys.
The board sitting underneath was the leftover piece I had. MK uses it to do his "wook" (work) with his hammer and saw.

I love your "get it done" attitude! Nothing better than a project which goes from inspiration to completion.

You're so handy! I really LOVE that you got an idea, and then went out and just built it yourself.

Yup, SO impressed. I'd definitely relegate that too the hubby. Wouldn't mind being more comfortable with tools, though. ANYways, I think that's amazing. Good Work!

Toys are always better on a shelf than in a box. It looks great. Good job Julia.
