Our most recent project has been working on our kitchen. It is looking ever so lovely. I am excited to post before and after shots. However, we have hit a bump. After much deliberation (4 months worth) we decided to paint our kitchen green.
Then we put in a new counter top. Now we can't decide if they go together. The colors of the kitchen are autumn colors--red, yellow, orange, green, and brown tones.
Does the green match the counter or do we need to pick a new color, like a light brown or orange/gold/yellow hue?
We need some help. Comments in both the affirmative and the negative are welcome. :)

I LOVE the green! I think its awesome. As obsessed as I am with orange, I don't think its right here. But anything you guys choose will probably look amazing
I agree with Natalie, the green looks really great! Can't wait to see the full finished product!
we totally have the exact same counter tops! our walls are a yellow/gold and it's BEAUTIFUL...the green isn't bad either though. let me know what you decide! cute!
I think the green looks alright. It reminds me more of springtime than autumn. Since your color scheme is more autumn, I would take a sample of your counter top and backsplash tiles and compare it to other paint colors. Take your letter box; I like some of the colors in there and I think one of those could compliment the counter top and how you decorate your kitchen.
I agree with Sarah about the autumn vs spring. I have such a hard time picking out colors so I understand why it takes so long to choose. I finally realized that if I go with neutrals, I can use accessories to bring in the color.
I'm not sure what it is with kitchens and the color yellow...both my house and my mom's house had yellow kitchens, I painted chocolate brown over mine, it looks so great because we have white cabinets and it really brightens the kitchen!
Good luck with renos!
We did everything neutral colors and if I were to do it again I would do a color like that green you have. I just got sick of cream, brown, off white colors. I hate picking colors it is the hardest thing in the world! But I like that green color. good luck!
so cute! I can't wait until we can come to the temple and see you and your cute fam.
Ok, this is your blunt sis in law.... I have to say that I like the color, but when you put the backsplash and counter in.. well, it doesn't look so good together:( My vote would be earth tones, deep red, brown, khaki, taupe, etc. It is exciting to put together a new kitche, especially since we spend a large apart of our day in there:) Love you guys and I'm sure you'll let us know what you decide...
I love hearing about all of your remodels! Here are my two cents for what they're worth: I think that if you stick with green, you should go with a warmer green that has a little more yellow/brown in it. You could do a glaze/wash over the existing green to make it a little bit warmer if you don't really feel like repainting.
